This is a prelims/finals contest held in Metro
Kansas City on a recently installed
turf field. Bands are divided into classes by
school size, but bands may request to be placed in a
larger division. Bands compete for entrance into
finals, prelim awards (including placement and
caption awards). In addition to the field contest,
indoor percussion and indoor auxiliary competitions
are held. Registration forms can be found on the web
link below and are due May 1st.
In addition, the
University of Kansas Marching Jayhawks will
perform in exhibition.
