This is a prelim/finals competition held on the
campus of Murray State University on a new astroturf
field. Bands are divided into five classes based on
school size. Each class winner advances to finals,
along with the next five highest scoring bands.
Prelim performance times are randomly drawn within
classes. Ten to 12 finalists (depending on number of
attending bands) are selected for finals. The
contest begins at 9 a.m.
