Andrew Irving is a professor of French at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.  He has been performing and instructing with marching bands, drum corps and color guards for almost 30 years.  An alumnus of the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps and former director of an Open Class Championship Finalist WGI independent color guard, Andrew also spent five summers as a writer for Drum Corps International and it is perhaps this endeavor -- offering him practically the best seats in the house for numerous drum corps competitions -- that has taught him the most about bringing form, function and artistry together. According to him, his greatest joy is witnessing achievement at all levels of performance.

David Tippett is a freelance artist and music consultant. He has toured with the Russ Morgan Orchestra and the Columbia Artists Tours. He played lead trumpet with the Buddy Rich Big Band and recently toured with Frankie Vali, the Temptations and The Four Tops. He is a widely respected jazz ensemble and marching band clinician throughout the United States. He has been involved with drum and bugle corps activities for more than 30 years and has served the Glassmen, Cadets of Bergen County, Carolina Crown, and the Star of Indiana as a music consultant, brass caption head, and brass specialist. He also has directed the Toledo Jazz Orchestra and served as Assistant Director of the University of Toledo Marching Band.

Bradley Palmer teaches trombone at Columbus State University and keeps a busy schedule of solo and chamber recitals, master classes, and clinics with marching bands and trombone groups throughout the United States. He is the principal trombonist with the LaGrange (GA) Symphony Orchestra and also is a member of the Columbus Brass and the Quatour du Sud trombone quartet. He has performed with symphonies in Iowa, Florida and Georgia. He is recorded on the Summit label as a soloist. He spends his summers as a performer, instructor and arranger for different music corps.

Donald Hill lives in Los Angeles, CA where he is active as a freelance composer and arranger. He currently is published by great works publishing, inc. and Ludwig Music, and has received commissions from high schools and universities throughout the United States. Donald has been a member of the American Society of Composers and Publishers since 1994 and five times has received recognition from the ASCAP special awards panel for his works. Don judged for Drum Corps International from 1984-2001, and served as the caption chairman for brass and music general effect from 1993-1999. He also judges for Bands of America and many other invitational contests, both nationally and internationally.

Steve Posan is dedicated to the heritage and fundamentals of the craft of drumming. He has studied marching/concert percussion, ethnic hand-drumming, mallet percussion and drum set in all styles. He has judged DCM, DCI, BOA, PIMBA and other Midwest Competitions.

David Herrick marched with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle corps for the better part of a decade during their Heyday. He has been in demand as an adjudicator and clinician throughout the United States of America. He currently serves as the percussion instructor for the Goddard School district, running the percussion programs at Eisenhower Middle School, Robert Goddard Middle School, and Goddard High School.

Sandra Bertelle began her pageantry experience as a member of her high school band Colorguard. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fine arts from the university of Southern California and has trained with some of the top dance, vocal and acting teachers in Los Angeles, as well as the renowned John Housmann from the Juilliard School in New York. She has directed and acted in theatrical productions and has been a guest star on several prime time television series. She began judging for Drum Corps International , fall marching bands, and winter guards in 1992. She is a staff member for the Velocity Winter Colorguard.
